Hi, I’m Tadji

I’m passionate about travel, and photography is how I hold onto the magic I find along the way. The world inspires me. I don’t have time to be cynical; I’m too busy embracing the cultural mosaic that makes this planet endlessly fascinating. I’m drawn to language, local cuisine, festivals, rituals, and just as much to the quiet rhythms of everyday life. Whether I’m sipping coffee at a café, exploring a neighborhood market, or biking down a back street, I travel to connect, not to collect souvenirs. That spirit fuels Travels with Tadji.

For many years, I was a teacher…rewarding, challenging, and ultimately freeing. It gave me summers to roam, and over the last 20 years I’ve explored most of Western Europe, sailed through the Caribbean, and wandered through Asia and the South Pacific.

As I traveled, photography became more than a passion, it became my lens into the soul of each place. My creative work as a photographer and content creator has found a home on Instagram, where I share visual stories of Paris and beyond through my account, @inseinelyparis. What began as a personal project has grown into a vibrant community of fellow dreamers, travelers, and lovers of light, architecture, and everyday beauty.

And of course there’s Paris. If travel lives in my soul, Paris lives in my heart. From my first visit, I was enchanted. I lose myself in its shop-lined streets, linger in its cafés, and people-watch for hours with a camera in one hand and a glass of wine in the other. The city is endlessly inspiring, and I try to capture its spirit in every frame. I know it well, yet its magic never fades.

I’m lucky to share this life with my husband, John Kretschmer, sailor extraordinaire and author of five best-selling nautical books. He shares my passion for discovery and seeing the world with wide-open eyes. Between us, we have four amazing grown children and a lifetime of adventures still ahead.
